Rotary Tree Challenge, a worldwide Rotary goal set by Rotary International President Ian Riseley, where every Rotary member plants at least one tree each and changes the environment for the better by Earth Day on 22nd April 2018.
Rotary Remuera has planted a combination of 100 trees and shrubs and also transplanted approximately 15 bushes at Waiatarua Reserve. Members enjoy maintaining and helping the trees to grow by weeding and tidying up the area where we planted. The trees are thriving and most of them have survived the long hot summer.  The mulching that we did in December has suppressed and made a positive difference.
