Last Meeting - Monday 17th November
This week Lauraine Jacobs addressed the Club with a fascinating address on her food career to date.
Passionate about the NZ food story, the high quality of our produce and the wonderful chefs we have Lauraine is delighted Michelin are coming to rate NZ food and thus promote us a a foodie destination. Something she has been advocating for for over 20 years. Lauraine is not impressed by the way the Greens keep negatively putting down the farming industry of this great country of ours. Interestingly when travelling. Lauraine researches restaurants she would like to visit then books accommodation nearby, Most of us choose a hotel and then search for the restaurant, which could be hit and miss. Another great speaker, they just keep coming and was enjoyed by 30 attendees.
Also introduced to the Club this week was Devin from Dilworth and Talia from Dio, both very fine candidates selected to attend the Rotary National Science Forum in January 2026. We look forward to hearing of their experiences in the new year.
