Once again Allyson deMarco from Tamaki Budgeting Services delivered a very compelling and humbling address. Tamaki's services are wide ranging, not just budget advice but social counselling and humanitarian assistance to those in need. It is deeply shocking that dozens of families are living out of cars in our city.
On Wednesday five of us, John Cowan, Leigh Marshall, Richard Veber, Iain Valentine and myself spent the morning packing 320 food parcels for the Salvation Army. This is a monthly commitment on 1st Wednesday along with other Rotarians, to volunteer, please contact Ed Mitchell.
ERKS packing, an annual commitment to replenish Emergency Response Kits is underway. Volunteers please advise Norman Johnston who will announce dates in due course.
