Next Meeting: Monday 10th March at the Bowling Club: 
 
1) Asian Delights – a recent journey through Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) & Thailand (Bankok). – impressions and experiences of club member Leigh Marshall and wife Betsy. Keynote speaker
 
2) National Science & Technology Forum January 2025 – hear from our selected student Ria Michaels, “I can’t begin to find the words to express my sheer gratitude that I was able to attend such a prestigious programme. Without your support, I would not have even participated and for that I give my sincerest thanks”
 
3) Re-open the AGM that was adjourned on 2nd December 2024 Business: To nominate and appoint the Club leadership team for 2025-26 year.

Rotary Means Business
 
Revival of the Rotary Means Business Fellowship in Auckland. Representatives from clubs in our Auckland Rotary Community Group are meeting next week to create a local chapter of this international Fellowship.

Outcomes from Board Meeting 4 March
 
1) Funding of International Project approved: Container of Medical Aid Abroad supplies to PNG – involves our Club and a PNG Club co-ordinated by Ashok - our club member in PNG. Project Champion Wayne Brewer
 
2) Salvation Army street appeal: members ask for their time on Thurs 8th and Friday 9th May – members to contact RedShield directly
 
3) Members are asked to identify potential applicants for 2025 RYLA – week starts Sat 21st – ends Sat 28th June. Age 22 – 28yrs. Refer to Bryan Haggitt
 
4) For future meetings, we are going to work with a small group of local clubs to create an integrated meeting plan, so that each club has one major event each month and invites others to attend.
 
Melanie's Bucket list Update
 
Since I have been asked to update my bucket list, here is the updated list, with some new things added, and I have removed the things I have already done:
- Go to different shows (musicals, concerts or stuff like that)
- Go see a netball game
- Go to the Coromandel
- Go to Lake Taupo
- See as much as the bottom half of the North Island as I can.
