Introduced by Pam Worth, Guest Speaker this week was Rhondda Middleton, Regional Services Manager from the Salvation Army. Rhonda described her role which covers an area from Pukekohe in the South to North Cape. A wide range of services are provided, some funded via Government Grants but mostly by donations, bequests and recycled opportunity retail outlets. Rhondda is very engaged and enthusiastic in her work - food parcels (about 900 a week) are just a small part. Addiction counselling, budgeting and welfare to clients ranging across all age and socio economic sectors from infants to the elderly to the homeless to just name a few, who receive support from the Salvation Army. Bipan Bansal gave the vote of thanks.
Almoners - Roy Austin has settled into Rawhiti Estate very well, is out and about and welcomes visitors. Colin Wilson likewise in Sholom Court in St Johns Rd.

Catering Feedback - to date the feed back on the re-setting of the weekly menu has been very positive as the meals have been nourishing, innovative, healthy, fresh and full of flavour. Only negative comments have been "go easy on the salt". If you have a comment please let me know so that I can pass it on.
Sergeant John rounded the meeting off raising $90.00 for the Sunshine Fund.
Next week "PARTNERS NIGHT" Guest Speaker will be Anthony Grant - with Sandra Grant owner and creator of the magnificent Sculptureum at Matakana and collector extraordinary! Anthony will explain how he has amassed his vast collection, how he conceived the concept which he is adding to constantly.
