Business is Awesome – A 1-day challenging and inspired seminar for secondary school students considering business careers.
The Business Is Awesome day-long seminar was run by Remuera Rotary again on 25 February 2018 at the Waipuna Hotel. It was attended by 77 pupils from 8 South Auckland secondary schools. Two young entrepreneurs who had recently started their own businesses spoke to the group, who then worked in teams to invent their own business idea, develop it, market it to the other attendees and then present it to a panel of outside business owners. The winning team members were P. Gounder of Manurewa High School, P. Pokina of Aorere College, T. Robinson of Mangere College, J. Madden of Howick College, J. Clerkin of Pukekohe High School, F. Holden of Diocesan, S. Yoakley of Pukekohe High School and J. Joseph of Auckland Grammar School.
