Quack, quack - The Great Auckland Duck Race 2017 was a great success raising thousands of dollars, as thousands of rubber ducks raced through the rapids at Vector Wero Whitewater Park.

It was with great pleasure that President Norman and the President of the Rotary Club of Manurewa-Takanini, Janet Igrisan presented a cheque to Lincoln Jefferson, General Manager of the Life Education Trust Counties Manukau and Ponsonby Eden Roskill for $15,886.  This represents 50% of the net proceeds from The Great Auckland Duck Race in November last year (with the other 50% being equally shared between our two Rotary clubs to go towards other great charities we support). Rotary Remuera would like to thank all those involved in making this great event happen, including Ray White Remuera.

This fundraising was a wonderful achievement and will go towards servicing the seven Life Education Classrooms; delivering the Life Education message to children at primary schools; educating and empowering children to make healthy choices for full and healthy lives.

Thank you again to everyone that joined us for the quackiest race day in Auckland! Get training for the next race; we look forward to seeing you again, 25 November 2018!
