Farewell to Elaine

Elaine Ebbett, our very sharp and witty ‘Sergeant’ has let us know she is unable to attend our meetings due to family commitments. Elaine has been a Rotarian for almost 11 years and is keen to continue to be a Rotarian. She hoping to transfer to a club that has day time meetings. Elaine recently organised the donation of books to Kaiaua School, a very low decile on the Firth of Thames. Elaine found out that the school had not had any new books in a very long time. None of the students families are in a position to contribute and Elaine could not sit by and let this situation continue. She said “this will be the first of many new books, if I have anything to do with it’!
